Rikku Pocahontas

Here is the next picture of my series of Disney Princesses and their takes on different characters from Final Fantasy. For this one, I am taking one of my favorite princesses, Pocahontas, doing her take on my favorite Final Fantasy character from my favorite Final Fantasy game, Rikku from Final Fantasy X. I have always loved Pocahontas since I saw the movie in theaters when I was six years old. She is strong, free spirited, and adventurous. I love Rikku because she is outgoing, spirited, has a wonderful personality, and not afraid to speak her mind. Since Rikku acts as a thief during gameplay, I thought it works with Pocahontas since her name means "Little Mischief." Also Rikku is 15 years old in the first game. The Disney film faced a ton of criticism over its historical inaccuracies, particularly over how they mad Pocahontas in the film an adult, while the real life Pocahontas was only around 10-13 years old when the English arrived. Which is funny because a lot people have criticized Japanese media for portraying characters like Rikku a sexy character even though they are only about 14-15 years old, one thing people need to keep in mind is that the reason why this is common is because the age of consent in Japan is 13 years old. After watching Pocahontas's hair dance in the wind, it reminded me of Rikku's outfit with the long blue ribbons on the back being blown in the wind and thought they could work together. 

What they have in common:
1. Their dads are leaders of their people. Pocahontas's dad is the chief, and Rikku's dad is the leader of the Al Bhed.
2. They are both part of a minority.
3. Xenophobia plays a big role in both of their respected stories.
4. Their designs both demonstrate freedom and movement. Pocahontas with her hair and Rikku with the ribbons.
5. Pocahontas has a humming bird as an animal friend, Rikku has feathers in her hair and outfit.
6. They are both free spirited.
7. They are both outspoken.

Pocahontas is wearing an cream colored animal skin sleeveless top with pale fringe around the neck line and lined on the bottom, and held together with a mahogany cord on both sides. A pair of emerald green flared short-shorts. A indigo blue pouch with fringe on the front flap is wrapped around her waist an around her right leg. a pair cream colored boots with blue and green belts with a brown base at the foot, pale cream fringe on the top and a green stone at the middle. She wears her mother's necklace around her neck with a pair of long flowing ribbons that reach to her knees, and a beaded choker consisting of large green stone beads and small pink and orange beads. On her left arm, she wears a jade green cloth tied around her upper arm, a thick brown glove with a targe emblazoned  with a compass design, held on with a long leather cord with beads and pink-orange feathers on the ends.  On her right arm, she wears Rikku's claw weapon, made ouf of animal skin that is tied with several knots, and with bear teeth and arrowheads tied at the knuckle with a fingerless glove under it. Her long flowing black hair is tied up in a ponytail with two long braided pigtails with pink-orange feathers decorated on the ends. She wears pink-orange feathers as earrings and on her boots. Her outfits showcases her free spirited personality and dances as the wind blows, as if her outfit paints with all of the colors of the wind.
